Jane Anne McDonald, an English singer, composer, and television host was born on April 4, 1963. Born and raised in Wakefield, Jane McDonald spent most of her early career singing in local bars and clubs until finding work as a cruise ship singer. Following her appearance on the BBC programme The Cruise in 1998, McDonald became well-known to the general public.

Additionally, McDonald has co-hosted various daytime television programmes, such as Loose Women from 2004 to 2014 and the ITV show Star Treatment (2013). Cruising with Jane McDonald, a Channel 5 travel programme, debuted in 2017. She has produced eight series and won the British Academy Television Award. Personal Life

She wed Henrik in 1998, a ship’s plumber engineer who afterwards served as her manager. At the time, a statement on Jane’s official Twitter page said: “It is with great regret that we announce the passing of Jane’s loving, long-term boyfriend, Ed, on Friday, March 26. He had spent the previous few months battling lung cancer.

After Peter died in 1993, Jane found work as a singer aboard the Zenith cruise ship before moving on to the Century. She was the main act aboard the Galaxy.
